Bridging ERC20 Tokens from L1 to L2

In this example, we will use the MTK ERC20 test token as the transferred token.

Go to the Deposit tab of the rollup bridge at https://bridge.ata.network. In the token selector, choose MTK and input the amount of tokens you wish to bridge to Automata Testnet.

If this is your first time bridging MTK tokens, you will have to first allow the bridge to spend tokens on your behalf. When you click on Approve, your wallet will prompt you to set a spending cap for MTK.

After setting the spending cap, you will have the option to click on "Deposit" and initiate the transfer to the Automata Testnet.

After you confirm the transaction, the deposit will be initialized and you will soon receive the MTK tokens on Automata Testnet.
