Frequently Asked Questions¶
How does 1RPC protect my data?¶
Read up on what makes 1RPC different here, or check out the rest of it under our technical architecture.
What makes 1RPC different from the other RPC providers?¶
Automata’s core mission is protecting fairness and privacy, which has inspired us to think about the design and implementation of 1RPC not only as a RPC relay, but also as a user-facing service that provides ease of use and convenience. Learning from real-world use has allowed us to improve the experience and discover new uses for 1RPC. We look forward to working closely together with more RPC providers to bring about greater visibility and control over user data and metadata within Web3.
Will 1RPC always be free?¶
Of course. Users who require more precise and comprehensive privacy controls can reserve a spot on the 1RPC+ waitlist once it opens up again.
Which wallets can I use 1RPC with?¶
EVM-compatible chains can already be used natively with MetaMask one-click deployment button. Alternatively, copy and paste the network’s information to any wallet that supports customized RPC endpoints. OneKey and MathWallet offer native support for 1RPC, and we’re also constantly working on the list of wallet partners for 1RPC, so be sure to check back often.
Here's a 30 seconds tutorial on how to get started with 1RPC.
Why use 1RPC if my privacy is already compromised?¶
Any step you take to put an end to interactions that reveal personal information about you is great for your privacy. Because 1RPC practices metadata masking, that is, replacing metadata attached to a user’s request with its own, the original metadata — and any identifying information — is shielded from third-party providers.
While the best time to switch to 1RPC was after your initial wallet setup, the second best time is now.
